Here’s the first UFO hacker update we’ve had in a long time. This week, Gary McKinnon, the famed “UFO Hacker,” is fighting his extradition to the U.S.

According to the Tech section of Monsters and Critics.com, McKinnon filed an appeal in the London High Court to prevent authorities from bringing him to the U.S. to stand trial for hacking into U.S. government computer systems. The hearing for the appeal started on Wednesday.

McKinnon claims he hacked into government systems in order to find proof of the existence of UFOs and that government agencies have not only been keeping it secret, but also utilizing its technologies without the public’s knowledge. Some O’Hare Airport employees are more than a little miffed that their UFO report wasn’t taken seriously. In fact, it wasn’t taken at all.

According to the FOX 5 affiliate in New York, some of the Chicago airline workers reported a UFO to their superiors back on Nov. 7, but none of them would take their report seriously, and even the Federal Aviation Administration called the sighting a “likely weather phenomenon.”

But neither the FAA or United Airlines even bothered to investigate the claim. The workers, who would not reveal their identities, described the object as “a dark gray, flying saucer-like object” that hovered “motionless” in the sky, and then suddenly bolted out of sight.

Attention, Pittsburgh: that thing you saw in the sky the other night? It wasn’t a UFO.

According to WTAE, the unidentified flying object seen in the Pittsburgh skies was not a UFO, but several agencies are in dispute over what it actually was.

Dozens of people reported the shower to local police and news stations. The National Weather Service said they thought it was part of the Gemini Meteor Shower that occured a week before the sighting, and NASA said it was a rocket launched from the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.

When it comes to UFOs and evidence of life outside of Earth, the Mutual UFO Network said the mainstream media won’t cover it.

In a feature story in this week’s issue of San Diego City Beat, San Diego Chapter MUFON Spokesperson Ed McBride said there is a “blackout” in the press when it comes to shedding new light on the UFO cover-up “except for the giggle-giggle factor.”

He said the reason for the cover-up is government interference.

“They’ve decided none of this can be in the open press because they don’t like to talk about anything anymore that they can’t explain,” says McBride. “They can talk about all kinds of serial killers, JonBenet Ramsey—but they decide. That’s what scares me, more than these UFOs. They selectively decide what we’re going to have for our evening news.”
