Suspected UFO Debris Actually Plane Door

A Maryland woman walked her dogs thought she came across the damaged debris of an alien spacecraft. Notice I said she “thought.”

According to the Aero News Network, it was actually just the landing gear door of a CRJ700 airplane from a United Airlines express plane.

So much for eBay. She could always sell it as an industrial strength paperweight.

Lunar UFOs Could Be Volcanic Eruptions

If you think you’re seeing little men on the moon, you might be looking at volcanic “belches.”

According to Scientific American, so-called “lunar” UFO’s seen for centuries may actually just be “emissions of volcanic gas.”

Astrophysicist Arlin Crotts of Columbia University said he reviewed the evidence and found the areas of the moon where most of the UFOs were spotted are also emitting radon gas, which could explain the strange sightings.

Could UFO Be Plasma Laser Blasts?

Those things you see up in the sky may not be UFOs. They might be lasers.

According to Wired News, military researchers have been working on using “ultra-quick laser pulses and mid-air plasma bursts” to defend soldiers. The story also said they may have been using them for years and could be the source of some UFO sightings.

The story cites New Scientist magazine, “Researchers working with high-power laser weapons discovered that they could create a glowing ball of fire in the sky by crossing the beams of two powerful infrared lasers…By moving the laser beams around the sky, the researchers found they could shift the plasma ball back and forth at very high speed…. At night, they demonstrated their skills, flying their glowing creations in formation high above the cold desert.”

Debris or Not Debris? Not

Some fragments of rock that some thought was debris from a UFO turned out to be debris from…a rock. Du’h.

According to the Seattle Post Intelligencer, a University of Washington research engineer determined the rock was just a piece of igneous rock possibly from a meteor or some good old lava.

The rock is over 50 years old from a plane crash site. A B-52 bomber crask in 1947 was believed to be carrying pieces of a UFO that crashed off Maury Island.
